The
Chicago Fitness Center Story
In October, 1982,
CFC opened its doors and became the first gym in Chicago to successfully
combine 2 unique programs, weight training and martial arts. Initially
weight training and martial arts were considered incompatible in
that weight training made you too slow. Wrong!
Today, CFC has grown
from 8,000 sq. ft. and an average of 200 members per year to cover
over 50,000 sq. ft. with an active clientele of approximately 3,000
members.
Currently expanding
to more than 40,000 square feet, CFC offers 2 fully-equipped weight
rooms. One room dedicated to all cardio and "upper body"
equipment and the second room dedicated to "lower body"
equipment.
Also
included is a state of the art aerobics facility, newly remodeled
men's and women's locker rooms, a professional kickboxing ring,
a new indoor running track and our new Full Swing indoor golf course.
CFC is now the headquarters
for the internationally acclaimed U.S. Shidokan Karate Association.
Combine all the
above with CFC's unique blend of sights and sounds and you now have
one of the premier fitness facilities in Chicago.
